Ms. Carolyn Hymon
Dean of Student Affairs

Greetings:

Welcome to Rust College and the Area of Student Affairs. The mission of Student Affairs is “Serving Students” while we provide for the intellectual, cultural, academic, social, physical, ethical, spiritual, and emotional development of students so that they will be fully prepared as citizens of Rust College and the broader society.

Transforming lives and developing the full potential of all students is central to Student Affairs. In order to obtain this goal, we are sensitive to and knowledgeable about different backgrounds, cultures, and personal characteristics evident in our student body.

In collaboration with academic divisions, we create educational opportunities and reduce barriers that inhibit the full development of students. We provide opportunities for personal developments, health education, physical fitness and recreation, a positive residential experience, spiritual growth, and ensuring a safe environment.
