Rust College Senior Awarded the Mississippi Land Bank Scholarship

HOLLY SPRINGS, MS – Rust College Senior Anthony Moore was recently awarded the Mississippi Land Bank Scholarship to aid in the completion of his education during the 2013-14 academic year.

Moore has also successfully completed his internship at the National College of Business and Technology in Memphis, Tennessee. He was granted the opportunity to work closely with professional Information Technology Manager, Kay Cooper, who is employed with FedEx.

“This internship was very helpful to me because it made me realize how important technology is to our youth,” Anthony said. “I enjoyed working with Mrs. Cooper because she is very intelligent and knows a lot about technology.”

Anthony worked with youth ages 11 and up, teaching them to build websites and about computer programming. Anthony is a computer science major from Memphis, Tennessee, who is on schedule to graduate in April 2014.
